Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

Beautifully done. Great lighting. It feels like a still-life painting in the lighting and arrangement of elements.
Thanks John, It was one of my favourites from that job.
Wow. Lovely. The tones really sit well with this environment. The symmetry and lines look spot on to me. Great job.
I had a couple questions: 1) Did you shoot in raw? If so did you already tone down some of the washed-out highlights, e.g. upper right of the globe and far right of the carpet? Just curious if you played around with the highlights. 2) Did you also shoot with the desk chair pushed in an centred to complement the symmetry? If so, why was the chair slightly out and off to an angle preferred?
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Mark
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes it was shot in Raw, and yes there was some highlight recovery.
The chair was only shot on the angle, The client wanted a lived in feel, so the stylist has give the room a feel of someone is working in there but just stepped out.
cheers
Pete
nice shot, but is it only natural light?
Yes
