A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)
For iPhone users - a new version of Bluristic has dropped (v1.8) which offers new features and significant improvements in stability & useability.
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

A few suggestions...In this image you can play more with negative space. That would require cropping larger (eg, expanding your canvas) on the top & somewhat more on the left. Now, the structure feels cramped & the balance isn't right. It needs more breathing room... Also, your tree line runs right down to your roofline. IMHO, it would have been more successful to separate them & position the roofline above or below the tree line. One last impression... the cloud gods were with you. There is great drama in that sky! Often a cool thing (one prays for). But, in this scene the stonework on the structure is busy & the sky is busy. So, again IMHO, it might have directed viewers' eyes better if you had a complex arch & simpler sky or vice versa. Good luck! Happy shooting.
Thank you for all the tips I'll think of next time I'm shooting. The sky was completely unbelievable but it will be considered next time. With the trees it's hard to get farted when it's taken from my balcony with 400mm zoom but this was a good suggestion thank you very much.
