Only you can decide if it's "good enough," but I can tell you what I think. It's interesting, but it's clear that you simply mirrored a photo down the center. I was trying to figure out how you got the symmetry so perfect when I noticed the trick. There's nothing wrong with that, just so long as you don't try to convince people that this is "as-shot." Technically, you really pulled it off well; there is not a clear line where the mirroring happens and it looks really convincing.
I like the image, Luidi, but less so once I read Phillip's post. I am perfectionistic, and would have noticed this myself soon, especially as these images invite close inspection of the textures and patterns. Images of this broad kind (David Stephenson and Candida Hofer come to mind) appeal to me, but it is looking for the imperfections and asymmetries in the subject that is part of their appeal. So for me, your approach defeats the purpose, to a degree. However, that's not to say it's not valid, and may well appeal to others.
Technically it looks fine to me, including composition, tonality and colour.
