Speedlight Versatility

Hey guys! I'm aware of the pros and cons of speedlights vs strobes, and after using both over the last few months I definitely prefer, or am just more comfortable with, strobes. But obviously there's monetary drawbacks to strobes.

So, what I'd like to know is from a standpoint of having a strobe (PCB) and a couple modifiers (octa and...

Right now I have a canon 7D with the crop sensor.. I am looking to upgrade to a full frame sensor.. I don't have a whole lot of money... Its a toss-up from a canon 6D or a 5d mark II.. believe me i would love a mark III but its not in the budget at this time...

Raw processing and noise

Hello all,
I've been a JPEG shooter since I picked up a dslr but I'm often drawn to the RAW side for all the usual arguments. I understand the principle differecnes but yet still can't get my RAW files to beat my JPEGs; especially in terms of noise. Certainly I can make adjustments to raw images - and they look great. I'm looking for a...

Pricing

Would anyone like to tell me what has worked from them with pricing "splits" between clients? I have an architectural shoot and architect and contractor want to share images. Also, 3 way split between Architect, Contractor and Vendor? Would love advice/formula that worked for all parties. Thank you and have a great day!

Personal/Business Websites!

I thought it would be a good idea to have a Post featuring everyone's websites, so feel free to post away!

Also I am looking to make my own in the near future, so if anyone has any tips on successful design, feel free to let me know; although I do have a basic knowledge, experience from others is always a great way for me to learn...

Suggestion: Photo Awards on Fstoppers

I love Rebecca and her process. But since we're growing why not grow the photo awards within the community and by the community. Like have community selected photo awards via votes/ratings and staff/editor's choice awards like from Rebecca and such. And not just that have specific photo awards extended from photo of the day like why not have a...

How about a Capture One group?

There aren't very many active groups for Capture One on the internets... Maybe Fstoppers could create one?

There's definitely demand for C1 info, but aside from the Phase One site, C1 usually gets buried amongst Lightroom discussion on various forums. Would be to chat Capture One with the Fstoppers crowd.

Photography Awards worth it?

But as well boast your public image as a photographer to all types of clients, plus get more credibility from other industry leaders which can lead into other opportunities...
