Gorgeous shot. My only nit pick would be that I think there should be a bit of space on the left side of the island before the edge of the frame.
I agree, I always like to back up a little and include more than what I think I need so I can have more freedom to crop. However, I really like how this feels, as I can only imagine the energy of Africa this early in the morning!
