I had played with gels a few times, but never really took the time to explore them in studio. When deciding to get back into beauty work on a regular basis, I thought it was time to try and play with gels in studio.
As I didn't want the blue to cover the makeup artist work, I only used the movement of my camera as a way to the shutter drag effect rather than having the model move around. The goal here was essentially to create different textures to strengthen the contrast between the blue and gold.
