Moody portrait of hot rod owner/driver at car club meet outside of garage. Portrait was taken as part of a book proposal.
Lighting was from two battery powered strobe units. Main light is a large softbox on Profoto Pro 7b head lighting the driver and front of car. The background and edge light on driver was from medium softbox on Profoto AcuteB head which filled in the dark area of tires behind car and gave a spectral edge light in the shadow created by the main light on the driver's left side.
I was lucky to have a calm day with little wind on this shoot where I shot 8 drivers and their cars.
