Editorial fashion shoot with Martha from Q model agency NYC at my daylight photo studio. Fashion is custom hand-distressed, embroidered and over-dyed by NYC designer. Make up artist chose bright metallic green for lips that pops in the direct afternoon sunlight.
The biggest technical challenge is to carefully position model so that her face is lit by beam in between the mullions of the old factory windows in my studio which cast rectangular shadows in the beam of low-angle afternoon light which can be seen in the background. The pattern of the window is projected by the sunlight on the cyclorama wall which I used as a background texture. The contrast overall was reduced by a V-flat reflector on one side. A slight separation/edge light can be seen in the shot coming from silver sided V-flat to the rear of model (more apparent in other shots from this series).
