Though not my wife's favorite time of day, sunrise is just magical for photos. While traveling through Israel I found this really cool set of small cliffs near the dead sea. We set out super early in the morning for the drive to get here and had the place completely to ourselves. The first rays of light coming over the horizon were the perfect touch.
