Youtube user Tatia Pllieva produced a video with WREN Studio in which 20 strangers were coupled together and asked to kiss for the first time. This 3 and a half minute video had my attention from the beginning all the way until the end, no questions asked. Things got awkward. Things got hot. Things got awesome.
Facebook announced that this week they plan on rolling out a new "streamlined" look for Pages that will appear on desktop users. They claim it will make it easier for people to find information they want and that the new style will help the Page admins find tools they use the most. Here is a quick breakdown of what you can expect in the new design changes and features.

About a month ago you may remember I wrote an article that talked about how 500px was releasing a new “Prime” program and they planned on selling images on their site and giving the photographers only 30% in return. The community showed its HUGE discontent and 500px actually announced they have changed their stance and will be giving the photographers 70% instead.
LensVid recently put out a really cool breakdown of the photography industry in 2013. They created a pretty detailed chart based on official numbers published by CIPA (the Camera and Imaging Products Association). This chart goes into details on camera sales for DSLR’s, Mirrorless, and even Non-Interchangeable lens cameras.
"Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the release of the Quick-Draw Strap and the Quick-Draw Strap S, two new products developed in cooperation with world-renowned American camera accessory manufacturer, BlackRapid." That's right! Nikon is going to be pushing a new strap into the photography market. This is pretty exciting, minus the fact that I finally just bought my BlackRapid.
The Nikon D4s is FINALLY public! After months of rumors and random sightings of the camera, it has finally hit the market and is available for purchase. Sony seems to be joining in on the Smartphone camera revolution as they introduced the new Xperia Z2 today at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Even though there is usually quite the uproar of smartphone hate, this new device is kind of interesting.
Adobe Raw users rejoice! We have a list of new release candidates for you to take a look at. With known issues going around with Camera Raw, it is nice to see some updates getting pushed live. Kate Upton? Bikini? ZERO GRAVITY? Sports Illustrated just keeps giving me more and more reasons to not read anything about sports. Now don’t get me wrong, Kate Upton is a beauty but these images, on the other hand, are mediocre. Out of focus, multiple white balances, and even some weird facial expressions going on with people in the background. Overall, I am not sure how I feel about the shoot.
“When I first shot the Olympics, my contract allowed me 12 hours to go through the photos and get them back to the team. When I photographed the Summer Olympics in London, my deadline was shortened to 2 hours. . . Now, with the ever increasing immediacy of the Internet age, they want me posting images at each break.
In case you have not heard, earlier today, we published "The Color Run Sues College Photographer After He Asks for Compensation for Image" in which we shared a crazy story told by the photographer, Maxwell Jackson. "The Best, the Biggest...The Happiest 5k on the Planet" is how the Color Run likes to describe itself to its 2.6 million Facebook fans. But don't let that fool you. The company is suing 21 year old photographer, Maxwell Jackson, because he claims they used his photo illegally. Say what?
Facebook recently put out a video with the message "Why have one photographer when you can have a hundred?" The video consists of a collage of images from a wedding with the impression that they were shot by multiple people who attended. This is NOT something the wedding scene is happy about.

The camera is currently for pre-order on their site for only $799, however Canon has not made any announcements for this camera. That’s not too bad of a price considering some of the information we have.
