I always love when I get a few days to get caught up on all my YouTube subscriptions and watch what other photographers are creating. One of the photographers I always look forward to seeing new content from is Detroit-based fashion and lifestyle photographer, Jessica Kobessi.
Today, I watched the ninth episode of “Four Photographers Shoot the Same Model,” featuring photographers Brandon Woelfel, Jon Sams, and Zach Allia. Similarly to past installments of the series, the photographers each get to pick their own location and outfit for the model.
One of my favorite parts of these collaborative videos is seeing each photographer use their preferred camera bodies and lenses. Kobeissi stuck with her tried and true Canon 5D Mark IV with Canon 24-70mm f/2.8, while Woelfel opted for Nikon with his D850 with Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.4. Allia used his Sony a7R III with a Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 and Sigma 24mm f/1.4, and lastly, Jon Sams used a Canon 5DS R with 50mm f/1.2 and switched out for a 24-105mm f/4 for some shots.
What did you think of the video? Check out my favorite shots from each look below! Let me know in the comments which look or shots were your favorite.
Don't forget to check out the respective photographers on Instagram as well.
Did the planet run out of male models...what is it with all these photographers focusing on women so much??
I shoot a ton of male models 🤷🏼♂️
Then, maybe you can explain why your own Fstoppers portfolio has only women:

You mean the one that I haven't updated in years?
Is FS the only repository for your work?
You missed the point, apparently.
And, just because you stopped updating your FS portfolio a couple years ago doesn't negate the fact you only uploaded photos of women. They didn't upload themselves? Correct? Yes?
Let's not be coy. Women models rule the modeling industry. When someone says, "model", what's the first that comes mind, a man or a woman? Anyone that says othan than "woman" is just being a smart-alec. :D
NO I got your point. I just found it a funny come-back from someone like yourself.
But I get where you are coming from...one of those who seems to just take pictures of young women as well...must have run out of men in your area?
Trust me, it wasn't a comeback. More like, reason, logic, and common sense.
"Run out"? What? Oh, I get it, you were being cynical. Surely, you don't actually believe we're out of male models. LOL! I would explain it to you, but, I get the feeling you'll play dumb and force yourself to not understand it. We'll just end up going in circles.
Oh Black Z...lol I guess you told me then.
Thank you so much for writing this, I hope you liked the video!

Great shots considering the constraints! I know how difficult it is to get good shots when you're on the clock!
