Watch the First Full Lesson of 'Photographing the World' for Free

Last year we teamed up with Elia Locardi, one of the most followed landscape photographers in the world, to film "Photographing The World: Landscape Photography and Post-Processing." This is a 12-hour video tutorial on landscape photography, and today, we are releasing the first lesson for free.

In this episode, Elia photographs the Iconic Kirkjufell mountain in Iceland and then processes the raw files in Lightroom and Photoshop. If you would like to follow along with Elia, we have made the raw, Lightroom, and Photoshop documents available for you to download below.

Download Elia's raw files here

Being that this is the very first of fifteen lessons, Elia keeps things pretty simple. He starts with the basics of composition, moves to gear and camera settings, and then edits the best raw file in a relatively simple way (for Elia) using Lightroom, Photoshop, and Nik Software.

If you'd like to learn more about this entire tutorial, you can check out the sales page here. The full tutorial has 15 lessons with raw files included for every shot, and Elia gets much more complex as the lessons progress. Keep in mind that all of our tutorials come with a 100% money back guarantee. If you're unsatisfied for any reason, we will happily give you a full refund.

Glad to hear it! :D

Keep up the good work Elia, you inspired us to go out and shoot beautiful landscape.

more power elia and fstoppers... i follow all you behind the scene ...

Thanks! We'll try to up the bar for the next BTS series. I'm still not going to sky dive though! Just saying. ;)

Oh yes you are!

"local rebels kidnapped travel photographer Elia Locardi today in Dubai and forced him to skydive before releasing him"

So I have a friend who does wing suit there! You're next Pat!

awesome

thanks!!

this lesson is awesome and helping me processing my capture before
keep cool uncle elia , ^^

Looks awesome. One comment though - In the post processing part you state that you need to purchase Google Nik in order to use it... This is not true anymore. Google Nik is now totally free of charge. This might encourage more viewers to use it.
Best of luck in everything you guys do :)

The tutorial was made before Google made it free in March.

Yes, I understood that. However, given that this video is on YouTube, you could just slip in a note on screen (like many other users do) when Elia is talking about it stating that it is now free. Just a suggestion :)

True, but either way, Nik being free is awesome news!

great tutorial, I will be purchasing this one next but right now I am in the middle of Joey Wright's swimsuit tutorials, I can't wait for this one though as nature is my favorite type of photography

thanks so much for the support Ron. I hope you find them both to be valuable.

Darn, now you have me hooked. I will have to save up to buy the entire class now :)

I just want to say that I absolutely love the tutorials (Have both landscape and Cityscape.) Elia inspired me to do what I am currently doing. I've been "location Independent" for 10 months so far and working on my portfolio. Living a life that I never could of imagined and all thanks to the inspiration of Elia Locardi. Thank you so much to fstoppers.com and Elia for an amazing tutorial, and all the work that was involved!

Wow! that's amazing

Great, Great work guys! What month did you guys travel to Iceland? I'm trying to plan a similar trip. Any tips you can give us about planning?

Going to miss you and your wife in Dubai this year! Safe travels!
