Balani - this is the local name for the chopped banana stems which the farmer feeds to his Karabaw or water buffalo who is traditionally used to plow the rice fields. I was walking the narrow streets of the province in Cebu/Philippines when I saw the scene. The light was quite harsh but one cannot have everything on unstaged images.
