I've been here several times and indeed it is a beautiful place. This is one of the best photos I've seen of Emerald Bay. My criticisms would be... The color seems just a tad too saturated (knowing Tahoe, it very well could be the real thing!). The horizon is not straight. I would suggest cropping out 1/3 of the trees at the bottom. I would touch out the boat at the bottom and then at left as the whiteness of them is distracting.
Thanks for your criticism. I tired cropping the trees and indeed it's a more powerful composition. The horizon is actually straight. The mountains on thr right are just closer. Yes, the boats have to be taken out. Appreciate it!
[not to be a pest but I measured from both ends (left being north and right being south) of the waterline at the opposite side of the lake to the edge of the frame and the right side is slightly lower. Sorry to be so picky- maybe it's not noticeable to others. Not a big deal but could be in a contest ;>)
