This image was taken on a 40 year old Nikon FG film camera from 1984...shot in July 2024.
This is "Swallowtail Lighthouse" on the island of Grand Manan in New Brunswick -Canada.
With the resurgence of film I was curious about it and was on Facebook Marketplace and noticed this camera, for $60, with the 50mm f1.8 lens, I had no idea if it worked but decided to grab it...if nothing else it would be part of my collection. I literally only had to change the small watch battery for the light sensor.
I brought it along on this three day trip to the island and the results I couldn't have been happier with...not having used a film camera in probably 25-30 years.
I tried to use the leading line of the boardwalk to direct the viewer to the stunning 164 year old lighthouse that sits at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy.
