This was shot on a Nikon D5100 with a Sigma 50-100 f/1.8 in March of 2017.
My girlfriend and I were camping at the Grand Canyon Village for the weekend. The first morning, I made a point to get up early to shoot some wildlife. I came across a group of deer feeding in a grove of trees. Living in the Grand Canyon Village, these deer didn’t give a care if I walked with them for a bit. As long as I kept my distance, they were cool. After resting up against a tree, I watched as the oldest of the group, on the left, was confronted by an obvious adolescent, on the right. This little tiff lasted about 3 seconds with the elder coming out victorious. Honestly, I could not believe that I was blessed to capture this moment and I was smiling ear to ear for the rest of the trip.
