This was taken on the first digital camera I owned, if a little late to the party, as the camera was far outdated by the time I bought it. It was a Sigma dp2 (no s, no x, no quattro). As much resolution as was available in the sensor is on display in the jpeg, processed from a raw x3f via sigma's software that also never left the early 00's even through to today. It was taken out on a nearby beach where I went just to get more experience with this whole photography thing, taking photos of the boats in the marina and hoping for some shots of dogs at the dog park (The little foveon sensor was not up to that task!). I got really lucky that the sky put on such a show, and despite its many flaws, the dp2 captured it wonderfully.
