Canon 60D - EFS 17-55mm - f/18 - 1/250 - ISO 400
I am disabled and mostly housebound so I have to take most of my photos in my basement studio or my backyard. I don't have a lot of disposable income so I shot on a Canon 60D and upgraded to the 80D. That is still my main camera to this day. I'd love to go mirrorless but just haven't had the funds. But I think I've learned that good light can make up for lesser camera specs.
This was taken in 2013. I was pretty new to using flash. I set up a white umbrella on a light stand and then laid it sideways on the ground. Corgis are pretty short so I needed the light as low as possible. I didn't have triggers at the time so I had to fire my pop up flash into a mirror and angle it towards the speedlight. If fired maybe 1 out of 3 shots. The multitasking of adjusting settings, getting focus, angling the mirror, and herding a corgi was melting my brain.
This was a spooky foggy morning and Otis was the only subject I had who was awake. So I just set things up and let him sniff around the yard until he started walking towards me. It was pure luck that the flash fired at this exact moment.

The corgi, the mist, the lighting, the proportions and placement of each item in frame by the way you took it - this looks so cool!
