Canon 60D - Sigma 18-35mm @ 35mm - f/16 - 1/250 - ISO 100
This was taken in my tiny basement studio in 2016. Product photography has become a love of mine because it is compatible with my poor health. I can work on it a little bit at a time and take plenty of breaks. For this I wanted to take a photo of aviators that were popular in the 80s. I wanted the color to have an 80s aesthetic.
I set up a strobe with a reflector and grid to get a nice gradient on the background. And I had a bare bulb strobe shining through Savage Translum plastic diffusion material to get a nice gradient on the glasses. The hardest part was the trial and error of getting the gradient just the right size and shape in the exact position I desired. I probably spent a few hours just nudging lights back and forth. The only major Photoshop work was removing the arm that was holding up the glasses.
Again, when you have control over the lighting the 60D performs very well. Upgrading to the Sigma Art lens definitely improved clarity and detail.
