This is a polyphemus moth caterpillar I shot with my Canon EOS 70D. I really love shooting macro photography, but this picture was taken well before I bought a proper macro lens. This was taken using Canon's EFS 18-55mm so getting a clean shot with close up detail was difficult. I found this guy while in Glacier National Park and basically took a hundred or so shots while trying to keep him on a stick, needing to change his direction every now and then once he reached the end. As it was pretty early morning, I was able to get pretty harsh sunlight to light his face which I think looks pretty good and allowed for the dark background which makes him stand out a lot. As far as post processing goes, it was a pretty major crop along with brightening up some colors.
My EOS 70D is the only camera I own and still the camera I shoot with today. I can't wait to get an upgrade some day!

Congratulations to the winners!
That is really nice, I even like the lime color, and the detail still came through on FStoppers.
