Each spring the wild flowers in Texas are in full bloom for a brilliant display of color along the state highways. I was pushing my daughter's strolled along a walking trail, when I found a bluebonnet standing proud, alone in a small clearing. I steadied the camera and waited for a passing cloud to bring relief from the bright sun and the bluebonnet to steady from the breeze. This photograph was shot on a Nikon Z6ii with an 85mm prime lens with an exposure of 1/250 sec at f / 2.2, ISO 100.
