The image was taken in Nazareno, an Andean town in northwestern Argentina, in the province of Salta, near the border with Bolivia. It's not cropped; it's exactly what I saw from a window; the town has hills on both sides. The sun was setting, casting shadows over the town and a nearby mountain range, while the background (also not far away) remained illuminated.
The cam its an oldest Nikon D5100 with a Sigma 18-35 1.8.
