I just got my first real camera 3 months ago. I was driving in Northern California and saw a group of Elk. I had to walk about 70 yards with my 30 year old tripod and new camera, I was asking myself, Is this safe? Am I to close? with a 200-600 on my Sony A7R4. Its foggy and not much light but I have a tripod, so I setup and and start to shoot. I see the Alpha in the crowd of Elk. Most of the time he didn't care I was there until he did care. This photo is when he took notice of me as he was protecting his harem.
