Started wild-life photografy beginning this year...At my camera store I heard a group of Spoonbills had gathered on an island in a local park. When I got there the next morning... Very poor lighting. You could only see them flying around due to the thick vegetation. None visible sitting down... Until I saw a glimp of one very low through some branches. Imagine a 6ft 5" 280 lbs man, flexible as a Sequoia, doing the most dificult yoga position..I had to lay litterly on the edge of a pond, one boot in the water so I wouldn't slide in, balancing on one elbow, Camera couple of inches of the ground and shot a few before it flew away. At firts I thought.. Well that didn't work out, but coming home it was in my opinion one of my best photo's yet. It was made with a Nikon D4s with a Nikon 200-400 f4 VR II @400mm 1/400, f/4, auto-iso (iso-450).
