On a drive home from a vacation about 2 hours from home, I saw a lake with low fog and thought there might be a good opportunity for a picture. I turned around on the next exit, went down to the lake and enjoyed the scenery. I enjoyed the lighting and fog, along with the gease. This photo was my favorite from that morning, and is a reminder for me to keep your eyes up, your camera at the ready, and stop to take pictures.

My eyes keep drifting between the lit-up treetops and the birds. Along the way, I briefly stop at the white horizontal line (is it ice?) between the two.

It is ice, it was slightly frozen over in some area!
