I posted up for a sunset shot at the Huntington Beach Pier in California and really I was here for the shot 15 minutes after sunset. I was testing out my Nikon Z8 which I had since release but this was about 5 months after release and I had spent hours shooting architecture but none shooting landscape. As I waited I saw this scene unfolding of kids playing along the surf with Mom barely keeping up and I thought why not capture the lifestyle of the great outdoors. I waited, not long and caught what I think was the perfect moment. Exactly what I had envisioned, there's even a surfer walking out into the surf and while it wasn't the plan, it just came together. This was taken bracketed but it was so unnecessary. I captured this with the Tamron 15-30 mm f/2.8 lens with the teleconverter (I had recently switched from the D780 to Z8 and still hadn't decided on the glass yet). ISO 400 26mm F/14 1/4000 Edited in lightroom.
