This is California condor V3, an 8-year-old male, flying along the Vermillion Cliffs near Page, Arizona this May. He's one of around 565 California condors alive, and the radio tags on the wings are for population monitoring as they're rebounding from almost-extinction in the 1980s.
We had a really great day for watching these magnificent birds. We watched several perched and waited for activity, then several more flew in after about an hour. It was awesome watching them glide, and several flew within 20 feet of our observation area.
The condor in the picture was close enough that I was around 300 mm on the zoom lens I was using. Animal eye AF was a huge help in getting this shot!
