This image was taken by setting my camera on a bench. I forgot that I had taken my tripod out of my car a few days earlier but I desperately wanted a five second exposure of this sunset. I had just gotten a new set of ND filters for the 18mm lens I mentioned in one of my other submissions and I decided to try setting the camera on a bench that was right next to the trail's edge.
This is a photo of the Intracoastal Waterway. A protected waterway that runs all the way down the east coast of the United States from New Jersey to Florida, and continues up the west coast of Florida through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
Because of the improvisational nature of this photo I wasn't sure what to expect when I got home! Part of the fun of being a photographer!
