The photo was taken as part of a personal project where I photographed several cats and dogs in a funny concept with different backgrounds. This one turned out to be the best shot of the series. I made a Facebook post to find original cats and dogs, and as soon as I saw this cat, I thought of creating an animated movie villain concept.

To get his attention, I had to place some catnip in front of him. After smelling it, he lifted his head toward me as if he were threatening me. The shot turned out just perfect. I only had to remove a few catnip seeds stuck on his nose.

The photo was taken with an R6 and the RF 28–70 at 43mm f/5.6. I used a round softbox at a 45-degree angle in front of his head and a rectangular softbox behind his head, all set against a black background.

Looks like Lee's cat. That's quite the scowl.
