I had wanted to get an anamorphic lens for a while not so much for video, but because I wanted to take photos with it. I know that goes against what these lenses are typically used for, but as soon as I got this Sirui 50 mm anamorphic lens I loved the still images I was getting with it. I also commonly shoot sports for my work and brought the lens with me to a game. It's a completely manual lens so I would set the focus to the center of the endzone and pretty much hope that I would get something in focus. To my amazement when I was culling through the photos this shot was in focus.
