"We Remained While the Sky Wandered"

To capture this image, I first photographed my friends standing still on the pier, anchoring the scene in human presence. Without moving the camera, I then recorded a timelapse of the night sky to trace the stars’ motion. Using Sequator, I rendered the star trails, and finally blended the static foreground with the celestial spiral in Photoshop—merging stillness and movement into a single frame.
