This is the inside of an empty wrapping paper tube pointed at a standard ceiling light. Even though I do have some great gear (canon r8), this was taken on my iPhone 13. When you’re in the moment and see a unique angle of an everyday object for the first time, it doesn’t matter whether you’re using the latest mirrorless or just your iPhone. As long as you captured the image, you’ve succeeded. It can be easy to forget that photography is a creative art, and not just making sure the subject is in focus and lined up on the rule of thirds.
