“Snow Globe” – British Columbia, Canada
One of Canada’s most photographed locations, this spot is instantly recognizable. I wanted to capture it from a fresh perspective while still honouring its iconic features. At sunrise, we stood in the classic viewpoint, and I asked my girlfriend to hold a glass sphere in her mittens as the alpine glow began to spread. To achieve the final result, I focus-stacked the image. One for the mitten and another for the cabin reflected in the sphere. In post, I flipped the reflection to appear upright, creating the snow globe effect. The remoteness of this location, paired with the biting winter cold, made the wait outside a true test of patience.

Emerald Lake! That looks like Cilantro, the deli there! Those glass orbs are always interesting! Was big a few years ago too!
