This photo of a Sacred Ibis was taken at a shutter speed of 1/20 sec. These birds were flying past in the distance and I decided to try a slow shutter speed, with the intention of producing considerable blur, but still maintaining a recognisable shape. The photo was captured using a Nikon Z8 with a 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 lens hand held. This photo is all my own work and not AI generated.

The post-processing was limited to the basic panel sliders, focussing on Tone and Presence adjustments with a Camera Standard Profile.
The photo was taken at the Quenera river, East London, South Africa on 25 July 2025. Settings were Shutter Speed-1/20sec; Apperture-f/6,0; and ISO 64 at 470mm.

Challenges included: The Ibis was flying quite high and far away, the blue, largely cloudless sky did not provide a good background. A slight Dehaze of +8 resulted in the interesting blue streak that the bird flew through.
