Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)
New version of Bluristic available

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

The first picture is just off center making it a bit weird. It's also really flat and could use some depth through curves and D&B. I'd probably get rid of the candelabra on the left and the weird point light on the ceiling as well since both are distracting and not helping the composition.
The couch is taking up too much of the photo. i would suggest maybe an angle to the right so the windows are on the left. The hallway and the door distract as well.
What a great space, I love the second two shots, but I'm not crazy about the back of the couch being so prominent in the first image. I would have either rearranged the furniture to fit the shot better, or moved in a bit so you maybe get a piece of the couch, but not the whole back.
The character of the room is on the other side of the couch, and that is being largely obscured in this image.
These are awesome Jean! I love the airiness of the grade. The ratios are solid and over exposing the exteriors works for a seemingly arid environment.
The only minor suggestion I can think of is in the last image. The second chair behind the column. I really want to see whats down that hallway, but a chair is obstructing my view.
I'd be curious to see how any of your 2-points turned out? Again, these are great. Nice job!
Thank you so much guys! I really appreciate all your feedbacks. Actually my first idea was move out the couch or even remove it but the AD Spain Magazine Stylist didn't allow me to do it. About the retouch, the only think I did was the double exposure for the windows view, they were so clear, minimum post pro for this item. Actually, they use the couch pic as a cover of the article on AD Spain Online, like you guys I don't like that pic because of the back couch. Thank you so much for your time and your feedback!
