The processing is quite soft, you should boost the exposition on the monks face and get a shot without the distraction of the guy in the left. I wouldn't let so much air on the top, but that's my personal opinion, of course. The main problem here is, in my opinion, the guy in the left. Also, the subject is not that interesting. Perhaps you should get closer the next time and try to get his facial expressions more focused and in more detail.
I agree with Anthony - the guy on the left is a distraction. He's too much in the foreground. I'd hazard that cropping the space above (which I don't particularly mind), and also the guy, so that you're left with the monk and background persons to the right would already make for a better photo.
You could make the monk jump out more with some more exposure and contrast. Getting closer would def. get a facial reaction, may not be a kind one haha depends on what you're comfortable with.
I wanted to see if a crop made it better - to be honest, having the monk central, amoung the crowd had a better asthetic - just need to make sure there isn't someone...imposing in the foreground
