Sea Otter Family - Morro Bay, California

These adorable sea otters were just floating around in the marina at Morro Bay, California, enjoying the warmth of the sun on this fine day. It was the first time I had seen a pup riding along on its mother. At first I was trying to figure out what was wrong with this otter, until I got a little closer and could see exactly what I was looking at!
Edited with Capture One. The sun was bright as it was almost 11 am. I reduced the exposure by 1/3 stop and cut the highlights significantly, although I think I had a few camera settings rather wonky as I rushed to get the shot! (ISO 500 and Exposure Compensation +0.7, forgive me I'm still learning!)
