The "Light and Shadows" theme continues from our recent San Francisco photo adventure, this time capturing the stunning colonnade at the Legion of Honor. Formally known as The California Palace of the Legion of Honor, it is a replica of the Palais de la Légion d’Honneur in Paris. The museum, showcasing European masterpieces and artifacts from ancient civilizations, also features a full-sized cast of Rodin's The Thinker, displayed just off to the right of this colonnade. As we exited the museum, we were greeted with the striking view of the descending sun casting dramatic light through the columns. To enhance the mood and emphasize the contrast of light and shadow, I chose to convert this image to black and white using Capture One 23, transforming it into a fine art piece.
