I have thought that my particular slice of Heaven would look like the Medicine Bow in the Snowy Mountains of Wyoming. These are without question the most beautiful mountains that I have seen in North America, including Canada and Alaska. This little lake is in a cirque of with several of these "pothole" lakes that were carved out of the native granite by glaciers in the 10,000's of years ago. I have been in this place in mid July and there was a complete white out with snow. Altogether a beautiful location, though it is slowly being troubled by "tourons".
