Blank Broadcast

A man holds an old television in front of his face, replacing his identity with a blank blue screen. The composition plays with the contrast between the cold light of the television and the warm yellow geometry behind him. Keeping much of the body in shadow draws attention to the screen and the hands holding it in place. The result is a constructed portrait that explores the relationship between identity, technology and the images we consume.
