aka 'Look no hands!'
This move was Dee (the dancer)'s ambition for the longest time; I was privileged to photographing her doing it.
The hardest part was holding it long enough to get the angles right while looking relaxed. This side-lit style requires very precise positioning.
3 lights: large gridded octa camera left & slightly below the dancer to give a flattering lighting pattern on the face, horizontal gridded stripbox camera right, behind and above the dancer for accent light and gridded beauty dish on the backdrop.
Post work: background cleanup - including removing the right side light stand - some skin work and a little dodging & burning, followed by a hint of colour grading.
