Not all of my commercial assignments yield 'keeper' shots for my own uses, though I always try to deliver useful work for my clients on every shoot. This shoot of young singer Ciana Pelekai delivered several satisfying shots for both my client (singer's management) and myself.
This shot shows the natural sunlight streaming through my studio windows onto my cyclorama. I am fortunate to have a photostudio with several large west-facing windows which have abundant afternoon light on sunny days. Even though this shoot took place in February, it gives a sunny summer effect.
On other shoots, I have featured my studio's industrial features and rough textures, but this shot has more of a typical look for a daylight studio/cyclorama. The lighting was entirely from the sun, but I uses several large reflector panels (Foamcor) to reduce the shadows. There was a little highlight control in Capture One Pro to prevent burnouts in the highlights.
