This image is from a recent trip to Antarctica. This trip did not lend itself to my normal practice of setting up and using a tripod. This was photographed while on a Zodiac boat transporting us back to the ship. It was critical to have the right shutter speed to create a sharp raw file. I was moved by the shape and texture of the ice structure. It was also important to capture the compositional elements.
