I met this girl at an Instagram meet and the planning for a shoot was born. There were several stories we captured that day, but this one, a nod to my sassy late-mom model turned photographer was easily one of my favorites. I am also a canon shooter, but that is her camera. In my mom's vintage fur and my red underthings, I was moved to see how well this moment articulated the sensual joy of the creative process. For lighting, I moved several lights in and put them to the left with makeshift blinders, and one at the end of the bed to more evenly light her face.
