This image is called Mary in Esctasy. It is a self portrait homage to Caravaggio's painting, "Mary in Esctasy". I styled this image to resemble the painting as close as possible. I used a white fabric as the top of my garment. I turned the white more of a yellowish/greenish hue in order to make it look old. The red fabric is actually a blue throw I had on my sofa. I turned it red on post. I am leaning against my coffee table. I had the original paining on my laptop for reference, and used my remote trigger to take the shot. This was lit entirely by diffused window light, camera left.

This is honestly impressive, is this a part of a series? I would totally love to see more like this.
Good job!

Thank you Marc, this is not part of a series. However I am self portrait artist and you can see more of my work on my page and on my IG page "Marybelphotography"

I think I might make more self portraits modeling after master paintings...I really did enjoy the process of creating this and helps me as a photographer in seeing how to work with and shape light.
