Padre Crowley Point, One valley west of Death Valley, California, looking east. This an extreme "road shot", the road in the foreground winds down the mountain, across the dry lake bed in the valley, and up the mountains in the distance. Of course, at display resolution, you won't be able to make that out very well, if at all. But it illustrates the vastness of travel in the southwestern USA. It is also a location with a lot of history.
