This image was taken during a week of travels through Death Valley National Park, during a uniquely moody sunset, from the vantage point of the strangely beautiful and ever-changing sand dunes.

I really enjoyed the wave-like patterns the wind has formed these dunes into. As someone who lives near the ocean and finds joy in exploring seascapes, this was like being in the middle of an ocean, that of sand and desert seaweed.

This is a great shot, Jimmy. Love the leading ridge line of the sand straight through the image and the contrast between the highlights and shadows.

Thank you kindly, Mark! I appreciate the positive and detailed feedback. Cheers!
