I wanted to give you a two-star. I could not with the motion blur in the gentleman's hands and arms. The depth of field is way to shallow for my taste with this image. He should be in focus if you are going to show 3/4 of the body.
It seems like the shutter speed was to slow and the aperture was too wide open.
Hi thanks for the comment, finally some feedback and not just starts :) I get your point but the motion blur in the hands and arms are intentional, are to convey the sense of movement. Regarding the DOF, not sure i heard that rule about if showing 3/4 of the body he needs to be in focus, either ways, he is actually in focus, what's blurry only are the hands and arms...which with the bluryness due to the movement gives the image a non static feeling.
I like this real travel picture. Those subjects come out of nowhere and you have not time. The fast reaction captured the moment, it lives from the friendly expression which is sharp and it has movement, thanks to the longer shutterspeed. It makes Romania very sympathic.
Thanks! He indeed was someone very, lets say different :) We had a good time laughing with him and talking for a while. I was with my mom and he wanted to show her his house and invite her to see the sheeps hahaha. The picture is right when he was about to give us a hug.
I actually really enjoy the motion blur. It makes me think of him talking with his hands. I enjoy his expression and eyes as well.
