Well this isn,t a cheerful image but I had to photograph it..Just returned from a trip to laos and vietnam.While in laos I visited the COPE ( the co-operative orthotic and prosthetic enterprise )centre in Vientiane. Between 1964 and 1973 the Americans dropped plane loads of cluster bombs every 8 minutes,24 hours a days for 9 years.up to 80 million of these devices failed to explode but still to this day at least one person a day is still killed or injured by cluster bombs that have still to be found
