This is Igor. He is an extremely rare Amur Leopard. He is a critically endangered specie. In 2007 there were just over 20 individuals left in the wild in the world. All of them in southeastern Russia and northern China. Conservation of its habitats has now led to about around 100 living in the wild. But they still may very well disappear in our lifetime. And some are in Zoo`s. These amazing cats are evolved to sustain Extreme cold, and lives on snow down to -24F during the winters. Their fur thickness, can triple during the winter. Igor and his brother are living comfortable lifes in their large enclosure here in the Bearpark in Norway. To get the maximum attention and focus on the beautiful animal, bokeh and out of focus background are an important tool. Shot wide open with 600mm.
